 Defined as idiopathic parkinsonism  Motor Symptoms: Tremor, Bradykinesia, Rigidity, Postural instability.  Neuropsychiatric conditions: Executive Dysfunction.  Treatments: MAO-B inhibitors, Dopamine agonists, Surgery.

 Diagnosis: personal experience, observations  Symptoms: feelings of hopelessness, loss of interest, mood changes  5-10% suffer from one or more depression episodes  Genetically linked?

 Medication: re-uptake inhibitors  Psychotherapy: sympathetically explore the patients state of mind, leading to self help  Electroconvulsive therapy: induced ‘seizure’
