Part 1: Background and research questions

Background Give a short introduction to the topic including, for example, the following elements: Describe shortly the technology/scientific background for the topic that you are studying Explain why new technology/research is needed in this topic, how it will improve peoples’ life and if there is business interest explain the reason and potential benefits as well What is lacking? What is needed for the progress? What are the bottlenecks in the development? Whenever possible use illustrations to improve your presentation Remember: don’t just read the slides but explain your work by your own words

Research questions Crystallize the discussion on the background into few research question that you have focused in. Example: Question 1: Why LTE-Advanced is needed? Question 2: What are the main technology advances that LTE-Advanced brings? Question 3: What are the most difficult technical problems that needs to be solved?
