STUDENT LEARNING OBJECTIVE (SLO) PROCESS TEMPLATE SLO is a process to document a measure of educator effectiveness based on student achievement of content standards. SLOs are a part of Pennsylvania’s multiple-measure, comprehensive system of Educator Effectiveness authorized by Act 82 (HB 1901). 1.Classroom Context 1a. Name Mat Wizard 1b. School WES1c. District WSSD 1d. Class/ Course Title Math 1e. Grade Level 4 1f. Total # of Students 25 1g. Typical Class Size 25 1h. Class Frequency 5 days a week 1i. Typical Class Duration 75 minutes 1.SLO Goal 2a. Goal Statement Make the statement broad-based enough to cover the various aspects of your 1-2 assessments of the skills/understandings. (Samples taken from Big Ideas in CCSS from MIF) 2b. PA Standards List the standards that apply for all assessments (Reference MIF reources) 2c. Rationale Reference Big Ideas in CCSS from MIF

1.Performance Indicators (PI) 3a. PI Targets: All Student Group PI Target #1: PI Target #2: PI Target #3: PI Target #4: PI Target #5: 3b. PI Targets: Focused Student Group (optional) PI Target #1: PI Target #2: PI Target #3: PI Target #4: PI Target #5: 3c. PI Linked (optional) 3d. PI Weighting (optional) PIWeight PI #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 Attain 85% on the Math in Focus Assessment Each student will be measured against this goal.

1.Elective Rating 5a. Level Failing 0% to 69% of students will meet the PI targets. Needs Improvement 70% to 79% of students will meet the PI targets. Proficient 80% to 89% of students will meet the PI targets. Distinguished 90% to 100% of students will meet the PI targets. If I use one test: X/Y = Z Y = number of students (25) X = the number of students who achieved 85% or more on the Math in Focus test(23) Z = converts to the percentage that scored 85% or higher 23/25 = 91.6%

If I use multiple tests to have 100 scores/data points: X/Y = Z Y = number of students per test( =120) X = the number of students who achieved 85% or more on each test ( = 113) Z = converts to the percentage that scored 85% or higher 113/120 = 94.2%

Using one or multiple tests, the important factor is the reasonable goal for your students: X/Y = Z Y = number of students per test( =120) X = the number of students who achieved __% or more on each test (__+ ___+ ___+___+___= ____) Z = converts to the percentage that scored ____% or higher ___/120 = ____%
