Common name: Tooth Tiger Scientific name: Smilodon Fatalis Habitat: Deep in the forest and the woods during the cold temperatures of the ice age. Reason of Extinction: Died about 10,000 years ago. They died because large prey amount of mammals that they depended on like mammoths and ground sloths became extinct. Some of the reasons they believe that this animals became extinct were climate change and disease spread by humans

Scientific name: Hippocampus Ingens Habitat: Pacific Ocean, offshore waters from 2m to 30m of depth. Camouflaged in algae. Threats: Overfishing, pollution and loss of habitat. Twenty Million Seahorses are taken from the water each year to take to China for Medical Uses. Measures to protect it? Seek alternative ingredients for medicines, develop sustainable fisheries, resist temptation to have seahorses as pets. Approximate population??????

Common Name: Blue Whale Scientific Name: Baeolonptera Musculus Habitat: Cold and temperate waters. Deep Ocean Waters, Icelandic and Celtic marine ecosystems, approximately 2,000 whales live off The Coast Of California and migrate to Mexico and Costa Rica. Threats: No specific predators, hunting of Blue Whales, Orcas attacking Blue Whale even though they don’t die immediately they suffer because of the attack and die.

Approximately population: Around 6,000 whales. Measures to protect it: Not lead boats against whales, stencil storm drains, monitor the water quality, cut up plastic six pack rings before recycling them or displacing them in the water.
