Sentence Construction In Salvador Dali’s The Persistence of Memory, imagery is used to enhance the work by allowing the viewer to understand the nature of memory by the way certain images are portrayed. Dali’s work utilizes imagery as a way to clearly depict the persistence of memory. Dali incorporates imagery to stress or emphasize his idea of the persistence of memory

Choice Words To enhance – to raise to a degree; intensify; magnify To portray – to make a likeness of by drawing, painting, etc To depict – to represent by or as if by painting; portray To stress – to show the importance attached to a thing To emphasize – to lay stress upon
