Chapters introduction-1 context and purpose of music in the community more on the context and purpose of music in the community organization: sound sense organizations: CoMA organizations: sonic network arts music in my community conclusion context and purpose of music in the community So the context and purpose of music in the community is building up relationships within the community, spreading culture of different style an types of music that can give an impression of new music People can update them self’s with the times of music also they can have the feel of live music One of the main thing to some people is about the money people can make from events of gigs, live performances and the venues there is always that outlook of making money from music from the business end of the music industry.

More on the context and purpose It also gives people the opportunity to experience live music and possible give them the motivation or idea of pick up an instrument to learn and in the community. they will most likely be able to find teachers within there community as well as music clinics, workshops and seminars this will give people a nice entrance to the instrument that they want to play as long as they go to the right one for their level so they don’t get lost or discouraged. But not only are they for novice play but those musicians looking to hone in on their ability’s increase and develop the knowledge and understanding of how to play and the theory if its needed because its always fun to learn new things even if its small. Another thing is that the little tips and advise that comes from the musicians how have experience for how ever many years they should be able to give some advise regarding the instrument or even the business. Of music in the community.

Organizations: CoMA meaning contemporary music for all. This organization was founded in 1993 the aim of this organization was to enable musicians of all skill levels to perform in contemporary music. They have a national network of musical ensembles as well as an internationally expanding programme with established groups in Holland and Ireland and partners within USA and Europe. Coma provide young and upcoming composers with the opportunity to have a chance to show what they have to offer and perform with an ensemble. The ways in which they can get this opportunity is to go to the workshop that they run they have also concerts, summer schools and master classes that people can pay to go and expand their knowledge and experience with group performance. Example of summer school ensemble piece: COMA

Organizations: The sonic network arts based in the UK and established in 1979, this organizations aim is to get both audience and practitioners to engage with the music in the programme of festivals, events, commissions and education projects. This organisation has a yearly event called the expo festival its been going on since 1997 it is free to go to, the acts there will be artists with experimental music with new sounds of sorts. They also have a festival called cut and splice which is also another experimental music festival. There is another one called beach singularity in this their aim a celebration of the British seaside it is said to have bizarre and creative performances with stuff like marching band, interactive electronic sound, beach activities and sound games. Sonic network arts

Chapters introduction-1 context and purpose of music in the community more on the context and purpose of music in the community organizations: sound sense organizations: CoMA organizations: sonic network arts music in my community conclusion Music in my community Music in my community though I myself haven't experienced much of the music with my community such as performances around swindon but of course I have been to few performances at like a pub riffs bar for example they are well known for good performances I went there for a mates birthday and they had some real good bands lined up. there is also concerts at old town gardens for festivals never really been there for that though but swindon does have some music shops that give lessons as well though the service in the shop my be grim from what I've seen and heard from others I do wish to see more of the community come together through music maybe in the future I’ll see more of what is going on within my community that I don’t currently see rock/

Chapters introduction-1 context and purpose of music in the community more on the context and purpose of music in the community organizations: sound sense organizations: CoMA organizations: sonic network arts music in my community conclusion Conclusion To conclude this power point I have found that music is important to develop music groups and to create a stronger relationship within the community and provide jobs to others and is a source of expression. Without music in the community it would show a change in how we develop relationships in large groups it would take jobs away from others and it would be less opportunities to express one self
