Definition: 1.Refers to discharge of semen without sexual activity. 2.Normal to have once or twice a month. 3.Night in dream: called nocturnal seminal emission. 4.Normal conscious state: spermatorrhea.

Causes and Pathogenesis : Mainly caused by: 1.Exhaustion of kidney essence and a decline of the life gate fire due to overindulgence in sex or frequent masturbation.. 2.Deficiency of qi and blood due to disharmony of heart and spleen. 3.Downward attack of damp-heat (usually from diet).

Clinical Manifestations: Chief symptoms: i.Discharge of semen without sexual activity.

Treatment : General principle Restore function of the kidney. Restore harmony of heart and spleen. Restore original qi. Disperse heat and dampness. Principle Channels: 1.Bladder channel. 2.Spleen channel. 3.Conception Vessel.
