Network equipment used in a modern office More to Learn Network equipment used in a modern office A computer network is the basic information technology infrastructure in a modern office. It consists of a lot of network connecting devices. Some example of network connecting devices: Switch Router Access point (AP) Network interface card

Network equipment used in a modern office More to Learn Network equipment used in a modern office Equipment Function Switch Connect workstations, network servers and other electronic devices such as network printers and fax machines together using communication cables. Router Connect a computer network to another computer network or the Internet access channel provided by an Internet Service Provider (ISP). Access point (AP) Connect devices to a computer network through wireless means. It converts digital signals in a computer network into radio signals and vice versa. Network interface card (NIC) Connect a computer to a computer network with a communication cable. For wireless connection, a wireless network interface card is required.
