Sockets, Ratchets, and Impacts Speed Wrench - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives

Ratchet - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives Not a hammer or a punch!!

Socket Driver - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives

Nut Driver -The socket part of the nut driver is made as part of the tool and cannot be changed

Breaker Bar - Does not ratchet - Has an extra long handle for more torque - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives

Impact Driver Designed to loosen nuts and bolts with vibration - Available in 3/8”, 1/2” Drives

Cylinder Hone -

Extension - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives - Available in 1” to 24” lengths

Hand tool socket - Hand tool sockets are chrome - Available in 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” Drives - Can be a 12pt. or 6pt. - Can be short wall or deep wall -Not to be used with impact tools

Adjustable Wrench - Adjustable to the proper size - Most likely to round off corners - Fixed jaw towards the direction of force

Open End Wrench - Makes contact with only two sides - Can turn fasteners that you can’t get a socket on - Allows for faster turning

Box End Wrench - Ends of the wrench are boxed in or closed - Need to have access to one side of the bolt or nut - Less likely to slip or round off due to more contact - Can be 12pt or 6pt

Double offset - Allows you to reach a recessed fastener and still have some room for your knuckles

Combination Wrench - Open end has no offset - Box end has a 15 o offset - Available in 12pt or 6pt on box end

Allen or Hex Wrench - Six sided bar - Used for Cap bolts with a “Hex” recessed hole - Not interchangeable with a torx type fasteners

Wrenches  When using wrenches Always try to use the wrench so that you are pulling on the handle rather than pushing it.  Why?

Ballpeen Hammer - Used to drive punches and chisels - Not used for manipulating parts into place - Heavy steel or cast iron head

Needle Nose Pliers - Pointy jaws for reaching into small or tight areas - Some have a cutter for cutting small gauge wire, zip ties, etc. - Used for moving, holding, or manipulating objects - Not used to tighten or loosen fasteners

Vice-Grips - Used for clamping, holding, and Manipulating material and parts - Not for tightening or loosening fasteners

Side Cutters - Used for cutting wire, zip ties, small diameter materials - Not used to handle material or turn fasteners

Center Punch - Tapered shaft - Pointed end for marking material

Aligning Punch - Used for aligning parts - Flat end for driving - Longer tapered shaft

Pin Punch - Thin straight shaft for driving pins, bolts, other fasteners - Small ones are pin punches, Larger ones are Drift punches

Cold Chisel - Used for cutting or shearing material - Not used like a punch
