Gertrude is sitting in her room, talking to Polonius. (24)

He will come straight. Look you lay home to him; Tell him his pranks have been too broad to bear with. Polonius: Your highness, I have asked Hamlet to come and see you.(24)

I’ll warrant you, Fear me not: withdraw, I hear him coming.

Hamlet enters……..

Now, mother, What’s the matter?

Hamlet, thou Hast thy father Much offended.. Gertrude: Hamlet, what was that strange play about? Your father is angry and worried. (24)

Mother,you have my father much offended. Claudius is your father now. (24)

What’s the matter now? Have you forgot me?

You are the Queen, Your husband’s brother’s wife; And – would it were not so!—You are my mother.

Nay, then, I’ll set those to you that can speak Come, come, and sit you down; we shall not budge. I am not going to listen to this. (24)

What, ho! Help, help, help! How now! A rat? Dead, for a ducat, dead! Makes a pass through the arras Hamlet: There is someone Behind the curtain! (25)

Hamlet takes out his sword……….

O me, what hast thou done? Nay, I know not: Is it the king?

Hamlet lifts up the array and discover Polonius

O, what a rash and bloody deed is this! A bloody deed! Almost as bad, good mother, As kill a king, and marry with his brother.

O, speak to me no more; these words, like daggers, enter in mine ears; no more sweet Hamlet! A murderer and a villain! Of your precedent lord Hamlet: Your husband Was a good man – And you married The animal who murdered him! (25)

The Ghost enters…………… O, step between her and her fighting soul: Speak to her, Hamlet. Hamlet: Please! Help me my father. Ghost: Hamlet, don’t hurt your mother. I don’t want her to be unhappy. (26) Save me, and hover o’er me with your wings, you heavenly guards!

Why, look you there! How it steals away! My father, in has habit as he lived! Look, where he goes, even now, out at the portal! No, nothing but ourselves. Hamlet: Can’t you see it? My father! Your Husband! Look at Him! (26) Gertrude: There is nothing there, Hamlet.(26)

But what shall we do about Polonius? (26) I’m not mad mother. I’m telling the truth. Your husband is the murderer! I’ll leave now. (26)

Ha! Indeed this counselor is now most still, most secret and most grave, Who was in life a foolish prating knave. Hamlet: Ha! He always loved talking. But he won’t tell any secrets any more! (26)

Come, sir, To draw toward an end with you. Hamlet dragging in Polonius…………
