Mistake #3 – She Considered The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” - Genesis 3:4-5 Eve’s 5 Mistakes

When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, - Genesis 3:6a

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led around by the Spirit in the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil. And He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He became hungry. And he led Him to Jerusalem and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here; for it is written, ‘HE WILL COMMAND HIS ANGELS CONCERNING YOU TO GUARD YOU,’ and, ‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.’” And Jesus answered and said to him, “It is said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’ - Luke 4:9-12

What Should Eve Have Done? 1. Stand Firm Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. - Ephesians 6:11
