History In 1821 Mexico gained its independence from Spain. It was a long fought war but they overcame the struggle losing almost half of their territory. When that was over France had invaded Mexico from 1861 until While that was taking place a Mexican Revolution drained 10% of their population.

Religion In Mexico there many types of religions but only two are popular, Catholic and Pradastent. Catholic is 88 to 89% of the Mexican population are and only 47% attend church. They mainly worship Jesus but they also recognize the Virgin Mary. Pradastent makes up only 6% of Mexicans population.

Sports Many sports are played across Mexico like boxing, swimming, and basketball. But the main sport they love to play is soccer. Ever since Mexico got a soccer team they have won multiple championships and have hosted two World Cups. One in 1970 and the other in 1986.

Tourist Attractions Cancun is a beach shaped like an island located near the Yucatan Peninsula. Acapulco, a C-shaped bay in the Mexican Pacific. It is also a major seaport and popular resort. Tijuana is the largest city in the Mexican states

Economy Mexico's economy is the 10 th to 12 th largest in the world. Over the years Mexico had trouble with their economy and recently in 2002 they began to rise.

Traditional Dances Tlacolorerosis is a dance that means the burning of the bush and the cleaning of the corn patch. They wear jeans, boots, burlap tunics, and interesting mask La Danza del Venado is a dance known as the Deer Dance which resembles a deer hunt. The people who play the role of a hunter wear wooden mask and bells and the people playing the deer barely any clothing
