FY14 TV PROJECTS VISION VERSION 4 EMEA UPGRADES Date 03/09/2013

Executive Summary The EMEA London and Budapest offices currently use the global enterprise broadcast system Vision, which is provided by Harris Broadcast. The version of Vision these offices use is no longer being developed by Harris. Both of the EMEA Vision databases therefore need to be upgraded to Version 4 to enable enhancement requests and access new features ensuring compatibility with the Media Centre, Non-Linear requirements and enabling migration from non strategic platforms. The aim of this project is to upgrade all EMEA Vision databases to a version which meets Sony’s future business needs. 2

Proposed Solution Objective: To have all EMEA Vision databases on a version of Vision that meets the Company’s current application needs, and well as having the ability to expand alongside Sony’s business requirements. Ideally both databases should be on the same version of Vision. Solution: The upgrade process for the EMEA databases will be as follows: – EMEA to complete a POC on version primarily using the LatAm database. – Complete Review of new NL functionality in test environment for compatibility – Provide access to Sandboxes to the business prior to V4.060 release for feedback – Both databases will be upgraded to V4.060 Q Approach: Sony will be completing the above upgrades by working closely with Harris, ensuring that any high priority issues are resolved prior to going live, followed quickly by the resolution of non high priority issues. Throughout the upgrade process a number of key milestones will be placed, where the key business users along with IT will determine the viability of moving forward. Dependencies Sony is dependent on Harris throughout this project for the following: – Provide Vision V4.060 within their timelines – Provide resources to upgrade the required resources when needed throughout the upgrades – Deliver enhancements and new functionality in V
