Lesson Instructions Read out loud to the students. We then discuss differing points of view from the story. The students will relate it to personal experiences like when they have disagreements with another student and each having their own side of their story. To compare and contrast the two stories a Venn Diagram will be used. Two of the same stories but told in different styles: Goldielocks and the 3 bears.

Learning Goals or Standards to be addressed: 1.The students will be able to recognize the importance of literary elements as well as literary devices, and consider how they affect the message. 2. The students will be able to evaluate, revise the writing to be able to improve the organization of ideas, and the accuracy and effectiveness of the content. 3.The students will be able to use various listening and viewing strategies in social academic -occupational situations. 4.The students will be requested to use the internet with a parent consent form. 5.The student’s parent will be advised to view: 6.The students will be able to present oral information. 7.The students will present orally in an organized manner and will be able to support it with details and examples. 8.The students will be given to use two different videos on youtube, ie:

Students will understand how different points of view affect the outcome, resolution, problem and/or situation. Students will know the difference between a fact and an opinion. Students will learn to differentiate open ended and closed questions. Students will be able to create a character. Students will write a character part for a play based on a certain point of view.

The students are then told that we will be having a trial for Goldielocks. She is being charged for trespassing on the three bear’s property. Parts will be assigned. The parts will be broken into those students with higher abilities but all will contribute in one way or another. Each group will discuss who and what their characters are.

Students will then give feedback; court will be adjurned.
