Global Warming Crisis By: Fabian Velazquez Michael Ortega

What is global warming you say? Global warming is an increase of temperature in the earth’s atmosphere, due to the greenhouse effect, caused by an increase in carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Due to a global warming glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, and forest are drying. Its is clear that humans have caused most of the past century warming for our power for modern day lives.

Greenhouse effect? greenhouse effect is when the sun’s heat and light are trapped together and a rise in temperature occurs. Two meanings of the term greenhouse effect, “Natural” and “Man-made” “Natural” Greenhouse effect keeps the earth warm and habitable. “Man-made” greenhouse effect which is the burning of fossil fuels and is increasing the carbon dioxide concentration.

According to climate studies, the 20th century’s the last two decades were the hottest in over 400 years! According to the United Nations, 11 of the last 12 years have been said to be the hottest years ever recorded! If this climate continues we will have a completely ice free year by 2040

Quotes -Arnold Schwarzenegger “The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time and we are entering a period of consequences” -Al gore, speech at National sierra convention Preservation of our environment is not a liberal or conservative challenge, its common sense. -Ronald Regan We have global warming and the fact is we can do something about it but only if EVERYONE is working together. -Arnold Schwarzenegger

Interest groups Green works http://www.greenworks.co.za/ The goals of this organization is that they want you to: - reduce your use your reliance of fossil fuels. - spread the word of reducing and to start walking or use fuel efficient vehicles.

Recycle- All materials in your ability in your area. Solutions? Recycle- All materials in your ability in your area. Reuse- By using recycled product. Make or buy a compost bin to use your waste as a fertilizer for your plants. Reduce- reduce the amount of energy you use and start using renewable energy source, such as solar power.
