Instructions for making the You Make The Game project 2008 by Project Gals Project Description: Your classroom will have a blast creating their very own game with our You Make The Game project. Students design their very own game board, make up the rules and most importantly, research and write all of the question / answer cards. Once the games are finished you can have a big game day and let the students play each other’s games! Materials: 2 Grocery Bags Templates Index cards White paper Tape Scissors Game cover List game materials Pocket to hold question and answer cards Game board Rules and object of the game

Lay two grocery bags flat with the bottom side face up. Use packing tape to tape the two bags together down the middle. Be sure to tape them down on both sides (front and back) and leave a small gap between the m to make it easy to fold. Now tape along the edges to create “pockets” (see picture below). Step by Project Gals Step 2 Instructions for making the You Make The Game project Tape down the middle Tape along dotted line Tape along dotted line Pockets to hold game cards. Pockets to hold tokens and dice.

Have your students decorate a large white piece of paper as the cover of their game. Once completed, tape the cover to the front of the folded grocery bags. Next cut out the templates and tape them to the gameboard. Give your students index cards And research books. (You could either have them research a topic they have been working on or assign thema topic. Step 1 Step by Project Gals Instructions for making the You Make The Game project
