Story Once, Hadhrat Umar was patrolling the streets of Madinah when he spotted a tent on the outskirts. When he reached there, he saw a woman with children. He noticed that the children were crying and that there was a pot placed on the fire. He asked the woman why the children were crying. She replied that they were crying out of hunger. Hadhrat Umar asked her what was in the pot. She replied that there was only water in the pot to make the children think that something was cooking.

Hadhrat Umar hurried to Madinah to fetch flour, dates and other things to prepare a meal. He carried the food on his back and he himself prepared the meal and gave it to the lady to feed the children. The lady was pleased with Hadhrat Umar's kindness and made dua for him.
