 Usually up to eight players, play against the House

 The first form of roulette was made in 18 th century France.  In the 17 th century, Blaise Pascal introduced a basic form of roulette in his search for a perpetual motion machine.  As early as 1796, the game has been played in its present form in Paris.  In the 1800’s, the roulette game spread all over Europe and the U.S.A, becoming one of the most famous and most popular casino games.

 A U.S. roulette wheel consists of 38 numbered slots: numbers 1 to 36, a zero, and a double zero.  You can bet on a particular number being landed on by the ball, or some characteristic of that figure.  Your can gamble if it will be odd or even, or fall within the first 12 figures.  Also you can see if the ball will land in a black or red pocket, or that it will be between both and find the elusive green zero pocket.  After the players make their bets, the dealer spins the wheel and a ball and after a few seconds the ball will land in one of the numbered slots.

 The roulette table comes with 6-8 sets of different colored chips, each set consisting of 300 chips.  When a player buys-in they get their own color The value would be the buy-in # of chips received  Dealer places a toke on top of the dealer’s stack of the color of chips to indicate the value.

 To win at roulette, the player needs to predict where the ball will land after each spin.  Luck plays an important part in this game since there really is no strategy.  Some players go with the winning numbers calling them ‘hot’ numbers and which are more likely to come up.  Others see which numbers didn’t come up the first time and bet on the odds they will come up for them.  Some players bet on many numbers to increase their chances of winning, but the payout is reduced.

 There is really no strategy to play roulette, its just betting on the odds of what number the ball will land on.

 Upon leaving the table, it is considered polite to leave a tip for the dealer.
