7 Where to find the advanced search? The advanced search bar is available at any time in the upper right corner of the Joinup pages. You can search using a keyword Or You can leave the bar blank In both options you are redirected to the advanced search page.

Filtering options 9

10 For more info about ADMS-AP: ings/Introduction_to_ADMS-AP.pptx The filtering options are based on the structure of the solutions’ metadata descriptions on Joinup. Those metadata descriptions are compliant with the Asset Description Metadata Schema Application Profile (ADMS-AP).

Search options Keywords Enter a key word and click the ‘Search’ button. In the search box you can type 1 or more keywords. Sort by You can sort the results by relevancy, popularity, date, title and author. Search results The results contain a title and a short introduction paragraph. Further, the type, the author and the publishing date are given. 11

Search for content 12 As an example, let’s search for ‘ADMS-AP’ in order to find the interoperability solution ADMS-AP.

Search for content 13 Thanks to the filter “Interoperability Solution”, it is easy to find what we need.

14 Search for users To search for users, first go to the ‘Users’ tap’. Then type a user name in the search box. Let’s use ‘stijn’ in this example. We retrieve 5 search results with the name ‘stijn’. By clicking on the username you are redirected to the user profile page.

15 Search for issues To search for issues you first click the ‘Issues’ tab. This will redirect you to the issues advanced search page. This page looks different than the other search pages because there are more search criteria. By clicking on the title you are redirected to the issue page, where you can find more information and download the issue. As an example, let’s search for ‘asset description’ submitted by user ‘stijngoedertier’ with status ‘Active’ and priority ‘Normal’. We retrieve 2 search results.

Conclusion The advanced search helps you search for: All types of content via different filtering options; All registered users of Joinup; All issues that are registered on Joinup; in an intuitive, efficient and easy way. 16
