Introduction  Topic: Population vs Transportation Revenues  Purpose: Researching the correlation between population in Canada and revenues made by transportation companies from

Introduction  Question: With population steadily rising in all provinces and territories, will revenues in the transportation sector rise also?  Hypothesis: With the increasing population in Canada, citizens will turn to more public modes of transportation, in turn raising revenues for transport.

The Variables  Independent Variable: population  Dependent Variable: revenues pulled in by the transportation sector

The Results

Results Continued...

Therefore...  Since the correlation coefficient equalled (.95) we can now say that population and transportation revenues positively correlate, with a strong correlation coefficient. Therefore, I must accept my hypothesis.
