Skills Needed for Future Success What is Ramp-Up? – Develop knowledge, skills, habits for postsecondary success Five Ramp-Up Pillars Academic, Admissions, Career, Financial, Personal/Social Ramp-Up Tools – Readiness Rubric and Postsecondary Plan Why Start Preparing for College Now? – The earlier the better – You will have more options after high school – Better chance of getting accepted to Colleges of interest

Identifying Strengths It is important that you know your strengths – Everybody is smart or has talents In different areas – It is important that young people Build on those strengths Building strengths enhances success in – High School – College – Careers Strengths are not static (unchangeable) – Can be developed and changed over time
