Drolette, E. Building Your Membership- Helping Providers Understand Why They Should Join Their Professional Associations 45 Association Leaders from across the country received the affiliate guide at this training in CD format. A presentation was given on the importance of member benefits, being affiliated nationally and building members on a local, state and national level.

Navigating The Affiliate Process Saturday, July 28, 2012, 10:15-11:45 a.m. Join this interactive session as we journey through the steps of gaining affiliate status as a state association. Participants will leave with an understanding of current resources and supports available to help them navigate to the next step. Learn the importance of networking in your community, state and nationally to achieve the best success.

Drolette, E. The group who evaluated the guide are representing Wisconsin, Vermont, South Carolina, New York, Wyoming and California. 2 left early to catch a plane and the NAFCC president attended as well. Evaluation process

 The outcomes of the process will continue to be evaluated as the guide is used.  Eleven affiliates and 8 regional representatives were presented with the affiliate guide with a plan to mentor states within their regions through this process.  Those in attendance at the workshop were also there as supporters for states interested in starting associations or affiliating.
