V.Personal Life  Robert Browning wrote Elizabeth a letter telling her that he liked one of her poems.  Started a relationship and it was bitterly opposed by her father.  In 1846, the couple eloped in Florence, Italy.  Gave birth to Robert Wiedeman Barrett Browning.  Citation: Merriman, C.D.
