What do we use to measure capacity? Metric measures-litres, millilitres and centilitres Imperial measures-pints and gallons

Metric measures How many millilitres in a litre? 1000 millilitres = 1 litre How many centilitres in a litre? 100 centilitres = 1 litre

Measures How many litres in 1 gallon? 1 gallon = 4 ½ litres How many pints in 1 gallon? 1 gallon = 8 pints How many pints in 1 litre? 1 litre = 1 ¾ pints

Capacity of everyday objects How many millilitres in a can of coke? 330ml Average washing - up liquid bottle 500ml Large bottle of lemonade 2 litres

Can you put these measures in order of size, largest to smallest? Litre, millilitre, gallon, pint, centilitre Gallon Litre Pint Centilitre millilitre
