Conventions Pair-Check Read each essay out loud ▫Stop anytime a group member hears something that sounds “off” or “wrong.” ▫Mark-up as needed Check for: ▫Spelling: If you aren’t sure, circle and write “sp?” ▫Punctuation: You should hear this as you read aloud. ▫Capitalization: If you aren’t sure, circle and write “cap?” ▫Grammar: You should hear this as you read aloud.

Rubric Pair-Check DO NOT WRITE ON THE RUBRIC. WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE PAPER. Give a score for each area ▫Explain why ▫Give AT LEAST 1 way to improve his/her score.  Remember, no paper is perfect. Writing is never finished, it is only abandoned.

Miscellaneous Is the prompt written at the top of the page? Have they used an anecdote? Do they have MLA formatting? Write this at the top of the page: DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR FINAL HARDCOPY, TII.COM RECIEPT, AND YOUR 1 ST AND 2 ND DRAFT WEDSNESDAY.
