Background By the end of March 2006 in Vietnam, there had been 106,288 cases HIV infection detected, 17,829 cases had progressed to AIDS, and 10,378 people had died (Vietnam Ministry of Health/ UNAID). Background There are today about 11 million workers in Vietnam. Immediate Objectives 1. Each of the four target factories will have 30 motivators who can organize 2. The target group (10,000 workers at four factories in one North Province) 3. Training for Motivators: - Training on first aid, HIV/AIDS: 2 days - Training on first aid, HIV/AIDS: 2 days - Training on team work: 1 day - Training on team work: 1 day - Training on organization: 1 day - Training on organization: 1 day

Activities 4. Production of ETC material on HIV/AIDS by VGCL (VCD, leaflet, poster…) 5. Education of the 10,000 workers through direct dialogue, Media, letter box, telephone, TV program, health fair by 120 motivators 6. Sharing meeting
