Activities undertaken so far F and E Principles F and E Planning tool Joint WASH and NTDs indicators (as part of NNN)

The ICTC F and E Principles Trachoma elimination Ownership Sustainability Partnership & participation Equity, inclusion, non- discrimination Integration Evidence Joint advocacy Sustainable social & behaviour change Tracking progress & measuring success Viable financing

To inform stakeholders supporting national trachoma programs through coordinated design and delivery of F and E components of the WHO SAFE strategy. Currently being used in Kenya, Malawi, Uganda and Ethiopia before further roll out Trachoma Elimination: Principles, Planning, and Resources for F & E The F and E planning tool for trachoma elimination

WASH and NTDs indicators (as part of NNN) Based on the outputs from the European roundtable we have consolidated a comprehensive list of possible joint indicators with associated metrics. Using Delphi method to seek expert input to: 1.Rank proposed joint indicators in order of importance 2.Agree on feasible metrics for data collection for selected indicators 3.Come to consensus on indicators and metrics for NTD- related WASH access or behaviours First round stated in April and will be concluded by June

Using Delphi method to 1.Rank proposed joint indicators in order of importance 2.Agree feasible metrics for data collection for selected indicators 3.Achieve consensus on indicators and metrics for NTD-related WASH access or behaviours First round started in April and will be concluded by June ICTC is convening a joint session with WHO at this year’s Stockholm World Water Week, the main annual WASH sector gathering, to discuss the opportunities and challenges of WASH and NTDs collaboration.

Priority actions Finalisation and roll out of Planning Tool through funded programmes – May 2015 Further roll out beyond funded countries – May ? Finalising and disseminating indicators process – August 2015

Recommendations Shift to Task Team structure to complete activities, while keeping broader WG informed Discuss human and financial resources (across the Coalition) for roll out of the Planning Tool in non- grant countries Engage with Delphi indicators process; and embed the conclusions in ICTC member programmes
