UNT Technology Transfer Process For additional details see the UNT Intellectual Property Policy UNT retains ownership of the technology Intellectual Property Officer determines whether patent, copyright or trademark protection should be pursued for Intellectual Property He notifies the inventor(s) of UNT’s intent The Intellectual Property Advisory Committee (IPAC) reviews the technology for feasibility, patentability and market demand. Makes recommendation to Intellectual Property Officer An Intellectual Property (Invention) Disclosure is submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development Or UNT waives rights and the inventor(s) can ask for rights
