Now we have 2 types: - Site based for Outdoor or low volume posters - Centre based for Shopping centres and other high volume

Although it is possible to mix and match both Centre and Site proposals in the same system most uses will only have one type. For companies with multiple databases each database will default to one type or the other. Now we have a proposal. If you need to change details of who it’s go to etc then click here. Let’s start by adding a Centre to the Prop by clicking Add…

Browse to find your Centre

Select start date, period type and number. Size will only appear if this Centre has multiple panel sizes installed. If only one size then that will be selected and this option will disappear.

Next you need to decide how many panels you want for this period of time. “Paid” panels are just that … something you attach a fee to. “Guaranteed Bonus” are panels that you are including at no cost. “Bonus / STA” are Subject To Availability … panels they get “free” but only if you have some to spare. When adding Paid panels you MUST include a per panel rate – and the period. If your booking is in Months then pricing must be Months. If booking is weeks then pricing is either per Week or Fortnight.

If we add some STA panels we also get an Installation charge check box. These will be charged at the same rate at Paid bookings (unless you turn off either check box, of course).

When you hit OK your new Centre entry will appear. You can have Centres with only Paid, only Bonus or a mixture.

In addition to manually adding Centres you can use the Find button to allow you to search for panels matching a specification and add those Centres automatically.

Start with the number of panels you want and the date range. You can also select from different Centre types using the drop down list. Click Next …

You can either search ALL available areas or specify state, region or even individual areas to search by selecting them then clicking Add.

The adjust the balance if required using the up / down arrows. To remove something click X.

Click Next … Note: Sizes tab will only appear if you have multiple active panel sizes. We will skip and look at Features … Click Next … Note: Sizes tab will only appear if you have multiple active panel sizes. We will skip and look at Features …

Now we can select Proximity to retailers, Direction and Status settings. In this case I am searching for panels NEAR Grace Bros – which basically means the panels are located adjacent to this retailer. Access To means that they are in the general area of the retail. Click Next to proceed. Note: You may not see only 1 Proximity (Near, not Access To) depending upon system configuration. Now we can select Proximity to retailers, Direction and Status settings. As an alternative to choosing those panels CLOSE to a certain retailer I could just choose all those Centres that HAVE a given retailer. This will report total available panels – regardless of where they are located in relation to the retailer. Demographics filters are available for some clients to allow you to filter on average shopper spend etc within each Centre. Now we get a list of matching Centres and number of available panels. Because I asked for a North Island vs South Island split (or NSW, Vic, Qld if you prefer …) Let’s look at the North Island result. Now we get a list of matching Centres and number of available panels. Note that the system found 22 panels that matched my search specification. However, I only asked for 18 in North (30 total, split 60%/40% in this case) so SIGNZ allocated what it felt was the correct number of panels for each location. In the South it found a far larger number of Matching panels (that were available during the given search period) but I only asked for 12 to it allocated those across the locations with the most available panels. If you prefer to spread out more click the Allocate at least one option and this will force SIGNZ to consider smaller centres as well. You can also manually adjust the figures by clicking on the list and pressing the Enter key then adding a new number. Now … what can I do with this Prop? New Letter will let me create a Word document based on a selected template mixed with the data from the proposal. Sort of a mini mail-merge. However, SIGNZ can go one step beyond that … and create the Schedule and embed it in a Powerpoint for you, splitting it across as many slides as required. The process is similar to the preceding Excel creation steps but with a few extra bits. Note: if doing a Site based proposal then this can also create site-card slides for all sites included in your prop. The first step is selecting your template from the list. If you always (or mostly) use the same one then click the Save check box. If you select nothing down here then you will get a list of all Centres in alphabetical order. If you want SIGNZ to split the list into different sections click the required options. You can now customise the Schedule and do whatever you like: , save, print etc. However, SIGNZ gives you the option to send via it’s tool – giving you the option of using a pre-saved template (once again kinda mini-mail-merge). Select your template … And output type. A PPS is the same as a PPT except that when you send a client a PPS it opens in ‘slide-show’ mode (full- screen) where as a PPT will open in ‘Edit’ mode by default.
