Photo Essay Gallery Walk

Gallery Walk!! Guidelines for gallery walk: Things to do: Walk around the classroom and look at each others’ photo essays! Keep your comments positive  Be respectful of each others’ work – treat others as you would like to be treated!!! Write a positive comment on your star sticky and put it on your favorite photo essay Things to think about: Does each photo essay have a concrete noun “thing” and an abstract noun “idea”? Is the thesis an argument? Do the pictures, titles, and captions support the argument?

Reflection Answer the following prompts using complete sentences: For your own photo essay, what is your concrete noun “thing” and what was your abstract noun “idea”? What is your thesis? How successful were you in completing your photo essay? How well did you use your time, and how did it turn out? If you were to do this project again, would you do anything differently? If so, what, and why? Think back to the gallery walk in class. Which photo essay did you like the best? Why? Which photo essay made you think the most? How does the photo essay embedded assessment connect to Reader Response Critical Perspective?
