5-Second Rule RAEECE Based on the article, I would not follow the five second rule since there are too many germs on the floor. As a result, the chance of getting sick increases by eating food that has been dropped on the floor. According to the article, Professor Lejeune stated that, “eating food off the floor violates pretty much every recommended method for preventing food-borne illnesses” (par 10). Clearly, if I eat food off the floor, I am drastically increasing my chance of contracting some sort of food-borne illness, so therefore, I will continue to not pick up and eat food off the floor.

5 Sec Raeece Based on the article, I would not follow the five second rule since it’s not healthy. There are a plethora (numerous/multiple/a wide variety) of germs living (residing) on the floor that can cause food poisoning or other nasty and unpleasant diseases. Clearly, if I want to prevent a chance of contracting food poisoning, I am not going to follow the five second rule.

Even though I can’t see anything harmful on the food, bacteria and other microscopic organisms can attach to the food resulting in food poisoning or other illnesses.
