I John 4: Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

I John 4: This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

I John 4: Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

I John 4: We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

I John 4: If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.

I John 4: In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.

I John 4: There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

I John 4: We love because he first loved us. 20 If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother. I John 4:7-21

Loving Like Jesus Part 1

I John 3:11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another

I John 3:11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another

Romans 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Romans 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

1 Peter 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

1 Peter 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

John 15: Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

John 15: These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

John 15: These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

THE command of the kingdom, the proclamation of the King of kings and Lord of lords, is “love one another”.

Why not just say it once and move on?

You and I don’t come by this naturally, we struggle with really loving each other! (I John 4:7-10)  We are selfish  “I” – Problems

“… put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.” (Col 3:6) (V7) and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them. That’s how you use to live… Your default settings

If we don’t grab hold of God’s decree, “Love One Another” there will be times that we will revert to our old nature.

As long as the lion in us lives… there will always need to be more monkeys.

“Dear God, bless Daddy and Mommy, bless our cat and dog…” “… and, oh yeah God, bless my ex-sister.”

That is Just like us when we forget to “love one another”… to love like Jesus So He tells us over and over and over… to love is not optional!

For us to love like Jesus, somebody’s gotta die…

If we aren’t careful we can cultivate a mindset that is detrimental to following Jesus.

New believers can receive and receive until it becomes the natural order for them. Love one another as they love you back… Jesus NEVER did that.

There once was a…  Carpenter  Physician  Man who fed…

They Crucified Him!

God didn’t call you to receive love…  …He called you to give love –  Just like Jesus!
