Phillis Wheatley had a fough life but she is known as the first african American women poet.

Phillis wheatly was born in 1753 in west african she was treated kindly In the holdhouse.

She was kidnapped and taken to boston on A slave ship in 1761 Soon recognize her talents and gave her priviledges unusual for a slave.Soon recognize her talents and gave her priviledges unusual for a slave.
