THE BIBLE YEAR FOUR TERM THREE – 3 WEEK UNIT

LEARNING INTENTION LI: You will learn about the parts of the Bible.

As we explain each of these try to find them in a Bible (you may have to work in pairs) The Bible is divided into the Old Testament (containing 46 books) New Testament (containing 27 books). The word testament means covenant or agreement.

NEW AND OLD TESTAMENT The Old Testament was put together by the Hebrews The New Testament was collected and preserved by early Christians after the time of Jesus Christ.

OLD TESTAMENT Most of the Old Testament forms the sacred text for the followers of Judaism and is the scripture that Jesus knew (because Jesus was a Jew).

Using a Bible put the parts of the Bible in order of where you find them in the Bible. Cut them out from your worksheet and glue them into your book in order.
