Outline What is Information Hiding? What is Steganography ? What differences between Steganography and Cryptography. Demonstrate idea of Information Hiding. Conclusion the Idea of Information Hiding. Reference

What is Information Hiding? The word Information Hiding is means “covered or hidden messages” or protecting other parts of the information from change.

What is Steganography ? The word steganography literally means covered writing as derived from Greek Steganography is the art and Science of writing hidden messages often by mixing it into noise of another.(Images, Texts, Sound) Steganography conceals the fact that a message is being sent.

What is Steganography ? (continue) The term Steganography includes the concealment of digital information within computer files. A message sent by a German spy during World War II read: “Apparently neutral’s protest is thoroughly discounted and ignored. Isman hard hit. Blockade issue affects for pretext embargo on by-products, ejecting suets and vegetable oils.” “Pershing sails for NY june 1 “

Steganography What to hide  Text  Images  Sound How to hide  Embed text in text/image/sound files  Embed image in text/image/sound files  Embed sound in text/image/sound files

What differences between Steganography and Cryptography. Steganography is the art of concealing the existence of information within seemingly innocuous carriers. Steganography make information seem “invisible” Cryptography make encrypted message may draw suspicion(unreadable) while an invisible message will not.

Demonstrate idea of Information Hiding.

Conclusion the Idea of Information Hiding. Idea of Information Hiding
