Reporting Out Points Pay/Salary Increases: Status Staff – Requested 2.5% +.5% Merit -Approved 1% Faculty – Union 4% this year (in a 3 yr. plan) 1% overall; 1%merit; 1%fixed market; 1% market pool adjustment total Police Union/Bargaining – (in 3 yr. plan) 4.76% avg. increase for competency based advancements Notes – Board of Trustees met Thursday June 19 th. Approved a 1% raise for Administrative and Classified Staff, as well as the President. Classification Specification Project completed. Changes Effective July 1, New titles, new pay scale. Minimum, & Maximums imposed for classified staff pay ranges. Over Max employees “red-circled” will receive yearly increases but will not be added to base pay. Requested to grandfather “red-circled” employees in salary request-unknown status. Natl. Salary review of CS positions as part of Aon Hewitt review, resulted in 16 employees below minimum, and approx. 50 over max.

Fee Waiver benefit- reviewed w/revisions Faculty – Contract continues Union/Bargaining – no changes reported Notes – New Severe Weather/Emergency Closing Policy Drafted HireTouch software implemented for Administrative position applications in Spring 2014, and Summer 2014 for Classified Staff positions. New software being implemented for supervisor training. New software was implemented (LawRoom) for EEO training and Discrimination in the Workplace. *Health and Wellness met with the following discussion items: *University is purchasing software to monitor Affordable Care Act Compliance in regard to hours, and coverage. *Searching for new prescription benefit co. *Open Enrollment will occur in July instead of October. *Will implement a Health Care Savings Account where University will contribute “some” amount as will employee up to maximum allowable under IRS regulations, will carryover from year to year. *Rates will increase-undetermined. *Dental care will continue to be offered to dependents without Full time student documentation, until the age of 23 as it is self- funded. *Will offer a 3 rd option Health plan for PT employees over 30 hours/week. *Trained benefit counselors will be available to discuss Health Care Options to employees.

Fee(Co-op/Internship placement) Freshman/Sophomores-$1.50 cr. hour-assessed up to 15 hours (no cap) $22.50 Juniors/Seniors $2.50 cr. hour-assessed up to 15 hours -Graduate student fees imposed $16.00 per cr. hour-assessed up to 9 cr. hours Supports operations of the Graduate College total $144 -Increase in Legal Service Fee $7 to $9 Music College some new fees New payment plan option -auto deduct only, new freshman only, 10 month budget plan, $100 fee.

Committee Accomplishments Supported the NIOT Not In Our Town Initiative 2.Packed 800+ lunches for MLK Day volunteers 3.Met with Sen. Randy Gardner and Ohio Rep Tim Brown regarding Ohio Budget and how it affects BGSU. 4.Accenture Reporting resulted in 22 recommendations for BGSU. Committees created to review those recommendations-with Classified Staff representation on each committee, appointed by the President. 5.Personal Leave Hours enhanced benefit gained based on years of Service-new employees automatic benefit upon hire. 6. Completed the Classification Specification Project to be effective July 1, 2014, new pay scale, title revisions, updated duties. 7. Fee waiver review/revisions imposing limits, timeframes, etc. 8. Severe Weather Policy review and discussion on revisions. 9.Successful request for salary increase %, %. 10.Provided Sponsorship of cost of Speaker to BGLI Leadership class. 11. Updated CSC listserve s for inclusive communication, updated Notary Public list on web as well. Web site rolled over to new format. 12. Actively participated in the Smoke Free Campus campaign 13. Sent welcome packets to all newly hired Class. Staff.
