Which of the following statements best describes when you, as a One-Stop staff member, should enroll a job seeker with a disability into WIA training? When you no longer care about your performance measures because you just won the lottery! When you have strategies to provide good customer service to job seekers with disabilities who would benefit from and be successful as a result of WIA training. Both B & C When you would enroll them if they didn’t have a disability.

However, until your lottery dream becomes a reality, there are ways in which you can help someone else achieve their employment dream while also meeting your performance measures. Please try again! Getting Warmer… All customers who are “job ready” should be considered eligible for enrollment into WIA training. However, customers both with and without disabilities may have challenges that prevent them from being considered to be “job ready”. Those challenges can often be addressed with a plan of action. Please try again to learn more. Go Back In fact, you are practically on fire with this response!

You are on the right track!! Customers may need significant resource coordination, a role that a WIA case manager may not be able to fulfill because s/he does not have all the requisite tools, resources, and knowledge. However, DRCs are in a position to engage multiple partners through the Integrated Resource Team approach and can use this critical strategy to engage more customers with disabilities in WIA training programs. CORRECT!!! To help address customers that face challenges to employment and training, One-Stops can tap into their partners, like Vocational Rehabilitation; connect to benefits counseling to understand the impact of work earnings; explore the use of adaptive technology in a certain career field; or consult with other community agencies to learn about available supports. One-Stop customers with disabilities, like their peers without disabilities, are able to achieve successful employment outcomes upon enrollment in WIA training, secure employment that produces self-sufficient wages and retain that employment to meet performance measures.
