What are silhouettes? Silhouettes are objects that are fully black like a shadow. When creating a silhouette, you only draw the outline of an object and then color it in black. When the sun is setting behind something…the shadow falls on the front of it.

AGENDA 1st sketch out your design in pencil (trees/landscape for Art 2 or Ships at sea for Art1/6th grade). Once all details have been sketched in, paint or color the objects in black like a silhouette. Paint or color a sunset behind it. You can choose warm colors or cool colors. See examples.
