Miles Davis was into a lot of different genres.. Jazz, hard bop, bebop, cool Jazz, Modal, fusion…..

Miles Dewey Davis was born, May 26, 1926 in Alton and died September 28, 1991in Santa Monica. Miles was an American Jazz musician trumpeter, bandleader and composer, wildly considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20 th century. Miles was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2006, even though he's dead the memory of his beautiful music lives on. Miles attended the Julliard school of music… Miles Davis was very successful in his music career. In 1975 he retired due hip problems and a very bad drug addition. He retuned in 1980.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS  An accomplishment was being inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame.  Many records of his own ( kind of blue his most popular).  Played for many others as well, still noted for one of the best jazz improvisational trumpet players, a large influence in the style of jazz.  He was successful with his music.

EXTRA Miles Davis had 566 albums all together. He had a nickname (Prince Of Darkness). Full name, Miles Dewey Davis III. Miles Davis had four children. Bill Cosby was the best man at miles Davis’s wedding. Miles married to a women named Cicely Tyson. Miles was awarded a star in Hollywood.
