Settler Societies and Indigenous Groups Dutch, English, French, and Spanish settlers Displacement of American Indians: purchase, forced relocation, death by disease International comparisons: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico: what distinguishes the latter from the U.S. and the other three?
