Press Release Tecnica Outdoor Collection SS2011 For The Outdoor Athlete in You. Do you want to be the first to the top of the hill? Do you hate being passed on a bike ride? Are you looking to improve your best performance every time? Do you want to be lighter, faster, stronger? TRS® – Tecnica Rolling System TRS® is a uniquely innovative system which offers outstanding cushioning as well a superlative capacity to transfer the energy forwards. The rear part of the sole occupies 2/3 of the lenght of the sole and – by combining the new rear sole profile (T-Spot) with super-cushioning materials (T-Cube Cushioning) - create theOversize Rolling Zone, whereby the sole is always fully in contact with the ground (+300% in the roll stagecompared to the traditional soles). The front part – 1/3 of the sole – creates the Rolling Rocker, designed for a faster transfer of dynamic energy, resulting in an increased push-off or toe-off stage ( triple compared to conventional soles). Tecnica Rolling System® let the runners and walkers to run and walk longer, more confortable and with an incredible cushioning, improving the grip and the energy transfer: the final result is being lighter, faster, stronger. The TRS Concept is present on the whole Tecnica SS011 collection. TRS MAX and TRS Sprint – the Ultimate Technology for TrailRunning shoes “... the question is all about making shoes that can perform truly better in all 3 key situations of trail running ie climbing uphill, running downhill, being at ease on traverses and by extension in all situations where the foot is not flat on the ground which is 70% of the situations....climbing uphill efficiently is all about energy saving and this relates to 3 parameters = lightweight, easy and efficient rolling in forefoot area, maximum grip in the forefoot area to avoid slippage in the push phase for more infs: Tecnica HQ – Mktg dept/ – July

Press Release for more infs: Tecnica HQ – Mktg dept/ – July downhill is the most critical part of trail running as this is where in competition a race is lost or won as big differences in terms of speed can be achieved. It is also the part where the body receives the biggest impacts = black nails, metatarsial or plantar injuries due to the violent claps on the ground, ankle injuries, muscular fatigue, knee or back pain due to the shocks, not to mention falls due to lack of grip. Downhill should only be about pleasure, fun, performance and this has been a major goal Thus we studied how we could absorb shocks far better, provide a super secure grip and excellent stability, enabling you to run faster, safe, without fatigue. A parralel with bikes was obvious to do, and everybody can understand the differences that exist today between a road bike, a cyclocross bike, a race mountainbike, a freeride bike and a downhill bike. Suspensions, suspension travel, tires width and thread improving efficiency in traverses and by extension all situations where the foot is laying sideways relates mostly to 4 parameters = lateral grip to avoid unexpected slippage, outsole lateral deformation on the edge of the bottom unit, yet maximum torsional rigidity for the remaining part to keep the foot flat as much as possible, and of course foothold notably on the internal side Ultimately it is all about fluid and efficient motion on any terrain ;Therefore the fundamental part of the work relates to bottom unit engineering. Last year we introduced the Tecnica Rolling System which set major improvements over classical bottom units engineering, providing more performance, more grip, more comfort through its extended landing zone, its continuous profile, its stability elements. After one and a half year of development, testing around the globe with top athletes, we now have pushed the TRS concept one major step further and we are proud to introduce TRS Max and TRS Sprint as the most advanced bottom units concepts for Trail Running.... TRS Sprint is the equivalent of having a 100m sprint track&field shoe yet adapted to sky running races. Its first unique feature is an extended full carbon energy plate which provided fantastic energy return in the propulsion phase, incredible torsional rigidity for maximum precision. It is combined with a full sprint racing last, very curved toward the inside, a very sharp nose profile, and rubber threads extremely agressive allowing best efficiency with going up. BIGGER IS BETTER... TRS Max is all about providing trail runners all the benefits in performance of a full suspension Mountain bike for the weight of a road bike. Cushioning capacity is twice bigger than existing shoes in the heel part, 4 times bigger in the forefoot area. You will make longer strides naturally, in a very safe and relaxed way, forgetting about all rocks and branches underfoot, thus going fasterand with less fatigue downhill. The Super extended Rockering profile enables fast, fluid, efficient motion, making you climb faster with less energy, run faster on the easier terrains. The grip is just phenomenal due to the extended surface and the way the shoe adapts itself to the ground. And as said before all this comes with a weight 15% lower than average trail shoes..... Besides the new TRS Sprint and Max, uppers development has also gone into major steps. The assymetric construction of the new Diablo and Inferno shoes creates a continuous wrapping and the shoe is pulled tight on the internal side, thus giving runners fantastic precision and feel......”Catch me if you can” is not just a marketing message. It is a commitment of the whole development team to performance, innovation, continuous improvements.

Press Release for more infs: Tecnica HQ – Mktg dept/ – July TRS MAX – BIGGER IS BETTER Super-cushioning  +100% of cushioning volume in rear part of the sole Maximum Stability  +85% lateral torsion Incredible Lightness  -10% weight compared to average trailrunning shoes Maximum Grip  +30% of the sole surface, 62% of the sole constantly in contact with the ground Greatest Rolling Rocker  less energy dispersion, less fatigue
