Introduction The rules of frog eating: If you have to eat two frogs, eat the ugliest one first. If you have to eat a live frog at all, it doesn’t pay to sit and look at it for very long.

Set the Table Think on paper Decide exactly what you want Write it down Set a deadline on your goal Make a list of everything that you can think of that you are going to have to do to achieve your goal Organize the list into a plan Take action on your plan immediately Resolve to do something every single day that moves you toward your major goal.

Plan Every Day In Advance Six-P Formula “Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance” Increase Your Return on Energy Two Extra Hours Per Day

Apply the 80/20 Rule (to everything) 20% of your activities account for 80% of your results Number of Tasks Versus Importance of Tasks Focus on Activities, Not Accomplishments Motivate Yourself

Consider the Consequences Make Better Decisions About Time What are the potential consequences of doing or not doing this task? Obey the Law of Forced Efficiency Maximum Productivity What are my highest value activities? What can I, and only I, do that if done well will make a real difference? What is the most valuable use of my time right now?

Practice Creative Procrastination Learn To Say… Procrastinate on Purpose …NO!

Use the ABCDE Method Continually A= Very Important, something you MUST do B= Something you should do, only mild consequences C= Something that would be nice to do, no consequences D=Something that can be delegated to someone else E=Something you can eliminate altogether

Clarity is Essential The Great Question Focus on Key Result Areas “What one skill, if I developed and did it in an excellent fashion, would have the greatest positive impact on my career?”

Apply the Law of Three One Thing All Day Long Take Immediate Action Transform Your Life Work All the Time You Work

Prepare Thoroughly Before You Begin Create a Comfortable Workspace Launch Toward Your Dreams The biggest enemies we have to overcome on the road to success are not a lack of ability and a lack of opportunity BUT fears of failure and rejection and doubts that they trigger.

Take It One Oil Barrel at a Time Take It One Step at a time “by the yard, it’s hard, but inch by inch, anything’s a cinch!”

Upgrade Your Key Skills Upgrading your skills is one of the most important personal productivity principles of all. Never stop learning

Leverage Your Special Talents Increase Your Earning Ability Do What You Love to Do There are certain things that you do, or learn to do, that can make you extraordinarily valuable to yourself and to others.

Identify Your Key Constraints Look Into Yourself What’s holding you back? “What is it in me that is holding me back?”

Put the Pressure on Yourself Lead the Field

Maximize Your Personal Powers Overworking Can Mean Under-producing Work at Your Own Pace Get Enough Sleep Guard Your Physical Health

Motivate Yourself Into Action Develop a Positive Mental Attitude Optimists always… look for good in every situation Seek the valuable lesson in every setback or difficulty Look for the solution to every problem Think and talk continually about their goals

Get Out of the Technological Time Sinks You Have a Choice Refuse to Be a Slave A Servant, Not a Master

Slice and Dice the Task “Swiss Cheese” Your Tasks

Create Large Chunks of Time Schedule Blocks of Time

Develop a Sense of Urgency Getting Into “Flow” Trigger High Performance in Yourself Build Up a Sense of Momentum Do it NOW!

Single Handle Every Task Once you Get Going, Keep Going Self-Discipline is the Key

Conclusion The key to all of this is for you to determine the most valuable and important thing you could possibly do at every single moment and then Eat That Frog!
