The Chumash The Chumash is one of the great Native American Tribe in California. The Chumash live on the northern coast. Coast of Suntan Barbara channel they had Carters and ocean. With fish and sea animals. Climate was midmost. Rain in winter. They Many made the Chumash different than other Tribes such as the jobs they did the clothes they wore, the homes they lived in the food they ate the things they celebrate and some of their things.

The Chumash Home The Chumash built and in live interesting home. Chumash homes were shaped like a giant round over specials and comfortable earth house was 50 feet across and for to five families shaped one house Chumash homes were made using frames and pales the roof was covered with bundies of grass and tulle reeds the home and had a hole in the middle of the roof so the sun comes in and for cooking.

The Food The Chumash got their food from their surroundings. The Chumash hunted big animals like deer, bear and mountain lions, using bows and arrows. They also trapped and ate rabbits, quails, duck and blackbird. The Chumash also killed whales, seals, otters and porpoise using harpoons. They ate abalone,and cooked edible roots.
