STEP 1: Find a curricular practical training experience (CPT). The work experience must be related to your business major/program. STEP 2: Obtain an official offer letter on company letterhead from your prospective employer. The letter must state all of the following: 1.The specific start date and specific end date for employment. 2.The number of hours that will be worked per week. It will not be sufficient for the letter to state “part- time” or “full-time.” The number of hours per week must be provided. 3.The physical location (street address, city, state, and ZIP code) where the job will be conducted. OIS will verify course enrollment and approve your work authorization. They will notify you when your authorization is complete and ready to be picked up. (This can take up to 5-10 business days.)
