MEDICAL yMedical Unit: 40 bed, fast paced environment serving primarily complex cardiorespiratory patients y Paediatrics: 5 bed paediatric wing of the Medical In- patient Unit, supported by 2 Paediatricians yDialysis: 9 station Haemodialysis Unit, Bi-weekly Nephrology Clinic, Peritoneal Dialysis Program. Serving patients with Progressive Renal Insufficiency, Haemodialysis needs, Peritoneal Dialysis needs and Transplantation preparation plus follow up yOncology: Outreach Program of the North-Eastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center (NEORCC). Serves out-patients, providing cancer care, including chemotherapy, blood product administration, coordination of test schedules, patient assessments and health teaching

ER/CRITICAL CARE zEmergency Department: y40,000 visits annually yOperation 24/7 zCritical Care Unit: y6 monitored beds y1,600 visits annually yOperation 24/7 zMental Health Services: The Mental Health Program offers a variety of in-patient and out-patient programs designed to provide the highest quality of care in the least restrictive and most effective setting. The Mental Health Program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary treatment team of professionals which includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and administrative personnel. Service options include: Inpatient Hospitalization, Day Hospital Program, Midstep Program, Crisis Response Service, Outpatient Services and Seniors Mental Health Program

SURGICAL PROGRAM zInpatient Surgery: 26-bed unit zDay Surgery/Endoscopy: Sees approximately 2800 same day surgery patients annually and an Additional 2700 endoscopic/ambulatory procedures are done annually zOperating Room/PACU: 3 modern, state-of-the-art operating theaters are equipped and operational Monday to Friday. Approximately 4500 operative procedures are performed each year, Specialties include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular/Thoracic, Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology and Dental. zObstetrics/Nursery: 15 bed unit includes obstetrics and gynecology. 750 births per year.

CONTINUING CARE zRehabilitation: Provides short-term rehabilitation hospital care for individuals with varying diagnoses requiring interdisciplinary assessment and intervention to regain independence in activities of daily living and return to the community. zComplex Continuing Care: Geared towards inpatients, with a chronic illness or a multi-system disease, who are dependent on technology based, continuing or intermittent care. zPalliative Care: take an integrated approach to emotional & spiritual support care and pain & symptom control to individuals in the end stages of terminal illness and is extended not only to the patients, but to their families & friends zGeriatric Clinic: Provides outpatient comprehensive geriatric assessments to older adults in our district.
