The Go-Around Dollar circulation tender formula official pyramid emblem

circulation – movement around many different places or people From here, dollars go into circulation to be used by people all over America: in stores, cafeterias, movie theaters, and thousands of other places – wherever money changes hands. The newspaper has been in circulation for 53 years.

tender – money, payment There is a notice on each dollar that makes this clear: This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private. Stores do not accept gold bars as legal tender.

formula – set method for doing something The formula for the black and green inks used to print dollars is a secret known only by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Sam wrote the math formula on the board.

official – formal and proper The two sides of the seal, an official emblem of our country, are shown in circles on the back of every dollar bill. The leader will be chosen by the official vote.

pyramid – object with triangular sides that meet at a point at the top. One circle has an eagle in it; the other, a pyramid with an eye. A model of an ancient pyramid from Egypt is on display at the museum.

emblem – sign or figure that stands for something The bald eagle, our national emblem, is holding arrows and an olive branch. The dove is an international emblem of peace.
