16 · Tone: Money is Power. Your design should communicate authority, order, trust and stability. Your composition should be balanced and stable.Tone · Typography: The lettering and numerals must be clearly, quickly read, distinguished and understood. This puts a premium on typography. Choose your text and font well. Typography · Color: You can only use a maximum of 5 Monochromatic Pastel Colors – Not Including Black and White: Colors should be bold, but not intimidating. Color · Motto: Choose a patriotic slogan in Latin on one side and English the other, which reflects national philosophy and pride. Motto · Symbolism: You must have at least 2 symbols, maximum of 4, on both sides, front and back of your currency. Symbolism

17 Symbols must have balanced allegorical representations – for instance, if you have an aggressive symbol on 1 side, have peace on the other, strength vs. compassion, industry vs. nature, work vs. recreation, etc.

18 The Latin inscription “Novus Ordo Seclorum” translates to “A New Order of the Ages.” What does that mean?

19 At the top of the pyramid is an eye, with rays that emanate in all directions. Above the eye, the Latin motto “Annuit Coeptis” or “Providence Has Favored Our Undertakings,” which Thomson explains “alludes to the many signal interpositions of providence in favor of the American cause.”
