Anxiety Toolkit Things You Can Do To Help Yourself!

Talk about your problems: to a friend, teacher or even a pet!

Humour: laugh your troubles away! Think of a funny thought!

Use your imagination to place yourself into a calm, happy situation.

Build your confidence! Say “ I will be fine, I will get through this!” You’ll become a stronger, more confident person from your experiences.

Use hobbies or special interests to take your mind off of your troubles.

Maintain proper perspective. Say to yourself “It could be much worse.” or “Things can only get better!”

Use drama: imagine yourself as a superhero! What would he do to get through this?

Have a reality check! In the scheme of things, this event isn’t really all that bad – is it?
