18 Summary of Key Observations Long distance Trips: Average 13.3 miles on the freeway segment alone versus the Average of 6.9 miles found on the 1995 Broward Household Survey High Percentages of trip begin and/or end near by I-95 Currently, transit is not the alternative for 2/3 of I-95 Motorists About 1/3 of I-95 Motorists would consider using HOT Lanes
