My Personal Journal Think of your most comfortable garment. What type of garment is it? Describe it below and explain it’s importance to you (why it is your favorite).

 Pulls thread through the fabric.  Has an eye or hole at one end the other end is sharp.

 Holds two pieces of fabric together while sewing.  Holds pattern pieces to fabric when cutting.  Have a handle at one end and a point at the other.

 Used to cut paper and threads.  Usually smaller than shears/same size finger holes.

Used to remove stitches when you make a mistake.

 Used to cut fabric and thread only.  They have two different sized finger holes.

Pin Cushion Emery Bag

 The pin cushion is the storage place for pins.  The emery bag contains a mineral substance used to sharpen the points of pins and needles.

Used to place fabric on when ironing To press wrinkles out of fabric

To protect your finger when you sew by hand.
